Dr. Pearlman is a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist currently pursuing a second fellowship in micrographic surgery at Northwestern Feinberg Department of Dermatology while building Sūneco Technologies. Dedicated to research and innovation, he has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and three textbook chapters. In 2021, he was awarded the American Dermatological Association Resident Research Award for his work integrating AAD's DataDerm into Epic EHR, and was named a dermatology Rising Star by the Fall Clinical Dermatology conference in Las Vegas, NV. In Spring 2022, he was awarded the DermMentors Resident of Distinction Award in Maui, HI and an AAD Resident Quality Improvement Award for his work with DataDerm.

In Fall 2022, he led a team of experts to win a pitch competition to develop strategies for automating prior authorizations (PAs) for medications through the Northwestern Medicine’s Mansueto Innovation Institute. The team is currently working towards launching a pilot in Fall 2023.

As Managing Partner of Dermatopathology Associates, Dr. Duong transformed a small, private laboratory into Mississippi’s largest and fastest-growing skin pathology practice.  He did this by focusing on quality of services, customer expansion, and streamlining internal workflows, including revenue cycle management.  

As the youngest Managing Partner in the history of the practice, Dr. Duong led a marketing team that succeeded in doubling the client referral base in only 3 years.  To accommodate the increased volume, he implemented a multitude of time-saving procedures to maximize his employees’ productivity and minimize wasteful spending.  Consequently, the company has tripled its annual revenue.  

As co-founder of Sūneco Technologies, Dr. Duong brings his experience and enthusiasm to a new industry with a proven record of success.
